Love yourself

Remember you will not always win. Some days, the most resourceful individual will taste defeat. But there is, in this case, always tomorrow – after you have done your best to achieve success today. Maxwell Maltz – 1889-1975, Author Life is worth living happy.

Be happy. ✳✳✳✳✳

Digging deep. This well in my house It dries up like a louse, Inadequate is the water, It drains your alter. So precious this well seems, Yet it does not fill the beams, So ugly is this well, Yet you dare not tell. This well reminds me , Always let things be, Time and Season, Dime and reason. During the rains , this beauty behold, Filled with  enough to share in accord. This well has given many memories, It will alight many stories, Good, bad and ugly, And many a look smugly. This well , I so do miss. Lessons that will make you hiss. Life is just like this well. There is a season , wet or dry, it is still a well. Everything works out for a purpose, the purpose may look dim, but it is a purpose. Though you may feel drained, does not mean the well will not surge with water again. I am happy and grateful for being alive today. I will not waste my time grumbling about the dry well, but look for alternative ways to get water. Life is worth living happy. Oyinda

Dare to be you.

I have always been an adult, but meeting Ali has bought out the kid in me. The hardest part for me has been  to be  me,  my! Worry should have been my second name. "You enjoy worrying Oyinda" Ali would mutter. I could not just let go, I always wanted to be perfect, not for myself but for everyone else, I craved for people to like me, I wanted to be the light in the party, yes you guessed right, I never hit the mark. I have lost a lot of friends whom were ready to let me be Oyinda, but because I was busy trying to be a perceived notion, I was a very unhappy person. At work, I saw everything as a personal vendetta, trying to please everybody,  i was so stupid that i also had to ammend myself because of neighbors, O ma se o! (What a pity in Yoruba) Mumu girl (Oyinda). The point is that the people I was trying to please are never impressed. What a waste of time,  be yourself always.   Life is worth living happy.

Customers are not always right.

Customers are not always right, recheck your strategy. “Customers are King, Customers are always right! I totally disagree! Please do not be quick to judge me yet, but if you are not a whole person, customers will destroy your business. Business is not a democracy; yes market research can identify a need or gap in the market but does not guarantee success of the product introduced. The human nature yearns for self-recognition, acceptance, self-worth, and trying to please a customer is likened to pouring sand into the deserts. The customer’s topmost priority is profit, there are school of thoughts that relationship will build up sales, I tell you, you will get heart broken, if you have sold your product on the basis of the uniqueness of the feature and profitability, the customer will go to the next hype. I respect Product/Brand Managers, because they have to understand the brand, target audience, market terrain, while the salesman is always thinking about the volumes, everyone should p...

Who cares?

Live your dream Being Successful is relative; relative is a word that strikes my mind because we define what success is. When things are finally looking up, you have nagging thoughts “will this success stay forever? I hope I will not fail again, I hope this is finally it!” happens to me . Candidly, we were born to create, control and rule, we have this natural instinct to want more things, grow from phase to phase, different things, but one thing that is constant is the fact we need to move forward. Success is achieving set goals, goals are not tasks, they are what you want to achieve at a point in time, and the goal has to be timed. We finally achieve the goal, which is success, and you reward yourself, and it does not feel as you imagined it will be, maybe you have poured yourself into the mould that you have lost a number of relationships, you have been too hard on yourself, you never enjoyed your path to success, you have a feeling of emptiness, Success is not meant to feel wrong! ...
