I got this cartoon from LinkedIn. These words are so true, we have created generations of corrupt practices, we have lost our emotional compasses, we do not know the difference of right or wrong, we do everything to survive. What scares me the most is this is not the kind of life and society I want my daughters to live in. I remember a story that happened to Inikpi, there is a neighborhood bakery across the road, so we decided to have a loaf of hot bread, So Inikpi decides to cross the road and requests me to wait for her, I stand waiting by the gate, I realise that she is taking too long, I quickly cross the road and I see Inikpi looking puzzled, Inikpi whispers to me " mum, my change is incomplete " I walk up to the lady selling the bread, I try to ask politely " madam, the change is not complete" I fix my best smile, she snaps back, "can the girl not talk?, she did not explain" I was so angry, is it that she wanted to short change the girl?, or she wanted my kid to fight for her change ? I asked the woman, "do you want her to insult you before you get her change correct?. " do I need to teach my daughter to be rude in order to survive in such a caustic society.
We need to renew our philosophy as a nation.
I have decided to teach my kids good morals, I know God will guide them to a nice place to live.
My heart aches.
Life is worth living happy.
