Nigerian Salesmen should begin with the ending in sight.

What was the real plan? the big picture you were too shy to talk about? Faderera my daughter has a dream so big, I squirm when she answers my colleagues that she wants to buy the Company I currently work for. (I was stammering and stuttering) but she reminded me that there is no crazy dream. (Thank you @Fadekoye)
We all have dreams, and success is achieving your own set goal.
To begin with the end in Mind means to start with aclear understanding of your destination,it means to know where you are going,so you know always the right direction.

My dream is much different from yours.

Let me tell you a story;

My Father was successful for his time, and naturally he wanted me to be as successful as he, he monitored, drilled, smothered and did what he could to ensure that I succeeded. Unfortunately, I derailed from his timelines and expectations and broke his heart. One morning he was sharing his thoughts with me on I had failed, having had enough of my father’s rants, I told him softly “My dreams are not as big as yours, all I want is a nice house, a beautiful car, beautiful Kids and a loving man, I admit I have derailed from my dreams also, if I can forgive myself, I think you should forgive me too” My father never said anything, but the morning rants ended.

15 years onward, I have everything I told my dad I was dreaming about, and those dreams looked so small, now I have gigantic dreams, similar to my father’s but Now they are my own dreams.
Being a parent of two daughters, I understand clearly the anxiousness of my Father, so I told myself I would not make the mistake my father made because I understand that he wanted me to be successful but just did not sell the Vision, so I had to analyse this case study so I do not repeat the errors of the past.
1.       Start with the ending in sight: Okay, we have not achieved everything yet, we never will, but pick a goal, and start from the end. Let me guide you, what do you really want to achieve? Start a Company? Be an entrepreneur? Know what you want!

2.       The Big Picture: My father always told us to think big, personally, I did not get the message, to me it sounded as if everything was too demeaning of me to venture into, I got an impression if I was not going to the moon, I had not succeeded. I now understand what he was trying to say
·         Do not be afraid to think big: I understand that we are all created equal, but the ability to think differs from man to man, Nigeria is evolving into a Nation of thinkers, everyone analysis every move of the other person, this is a good thing, we have lofty dreams, today might be crappy, but our thinking for the solution, and applying the solution will solve the problems.

·         You can start small then become bigger along the line: I know that there were so many smaller ventures that I could have succeeded at if I had only begun, Specific goals enables you to achieve the big picture.

·         Common Sense is not Common: Sincerely, most of us just have a vague picture of what we want to achieve, we summarise it as being Rich and Successful, what is your version of rich and successful? I had to lose a job I came to my senses, I had to ask myself, what is my definition of Success, today my definition of success is to be able to buy my Mum a home in the UK, float a Fortune 500 Company with My Husband, Have real estate /country homes on 3 Continents.  Have your goals written down?

3.       Fear of Failure: Failure is just Nature’s Schooling. We can achieve anything if we decide, just do it. Mistakes are allowed. But keep moving.

4.       Start from where you are: no place is too bad, just start, you will be surprised at what comes as the next step.

Life can be Fun!

Who cares?

Live your dream Being Successful is relative; relative is a word that strikes my mind because we define what success is. When things are finally looking up, you have nagging thoughts “will this success stay forever? I hope I will not fail again, I hope this is finally it!” happens to me . Candidly, we were born to create, control and rule, we have this natural instinct to want more things, grow from phase to phase, different things, but one thing that is constant is the fact we need to move forward. Success is achieving set goals, goals are not tasks, they are what you want to achieve at a point in time, and the goal has to be timed. We finally achieve the goal, which is success, and you reward yourself, and it does not feel as you imagined it will be, maybe you have poured yourself into the mould that you have lost a number of relationships, you have been too hard on yourself, you never enjoyed your path to success, you have a feeling of emptiness, Success is not meant to feel wrong! ...

Science of Successful.

Becoming Successful is never dependent of your location, the kind of job or profession, neither is it about the way you look, or the kind of family you come from. I have spent a great part of my life in Nigeria and I got a lot of things wrong,  yes I do love Nigeria but I can honestly say that I was not happy with the infrastructure, lifestyle of my neighborhood, Schools I had gone to, just to list a few. My career has been dynamic,  my formative years  at a pharmaceutical Company gave me a strong foundation. I have been opportuned to be part of various projects, I have driven volumes for my respective territories or Area. During the last election, I preached the gospel of APC  because of Babatunde Raji Fashola . Lagos had transformed from a slum to a city I am proud of as a Nigerian, Lagos state should be a model we can repeat Nationwide. One phrase that rings in my ears, Entrepreneurship!. Being an Entrepreneur in Nigeria is scary, especially if you went to a Nigerian University. Rea...
